About Us

My family and I are on a 2 year journey Roadschooling Across America.

We are leaving our home in the beautiful state of Colorado with a plan to travel across the 48 continental United States in a 40 foot RV.  Colorado has been our home for the past 14 years. It’s where I lived when I met my husband, where our children were born, and where many of our friendships have been made.

After all the years and memories we have made here, we’re ready to begin the next chapter of our lives. Taking a cue from the snowbirds, we’ll follow the seasons, north in the summer and south in the winter.

The plan is to spend about a week at each location, learning the history, exploring the sites, and embracing the nature that surrounds us.

Roadschooling

We have homeschooled since in beginning, when the kids started kindergarten. We have done a mixture of unit studies, eclectic, nature studies, and traditional workbooks in our homeschool. What always seems to work best for them is when they get hands-on learning and that’s where roadschooling shines.

There’s just no match to learning about things in a textbook as opposed to learning about things in real life. Taking our homeschool on the road to learn about America and its national treasures is an unbelievable experience the kids will remember their whole lives and hopefully tell their own kids about one day.
